Tour of Historic Homes & Gardens

Starmount Forest - 2026

May 16th & 17th, 2026

Join Us in Celebrating National Preservation Month!

Preservation Greensboro’s Annual Tour of Historic Homes & Gardens will celebrate the unique and timeless architecture of Starmount by opening homes throughout the neighborhood during May, National Historic Preservation Month.

The Tour of Historic Homes & Gardens is Preservation Greensboro’s signature annual event, offering a rare opportunity to step inside some of Greensboro’s most beautiful and historically significant homes. Each year, the tour showcases a different neighborhood, celebrating the architecture, craftsmanship, and stories that define our city’s past.

This two-day event invites the community to explore the spaces that shape our shared heritage—while also supporting Preservation Greensboro’s mission to protect and promote the city’s historic places. Proceeds from the tour fund advocacy, education, and technical support for preservation efforts across Greensboro.

Whether you’re passionate about old houses, love interior design, or are simply curious about your city’s history, the Tour of Historic Homes & Gardens is an inspiring and enriching experience.
