About the event

The Tour of Historic Homes & Gardens is Preservation Greensboro’s signature annual event, offering a rare opportunity to step inside some of Greensboro’s most beautiful and historically significant homes. Each year, the tour showcases a different neighborhood, celebrating the architecture, craftsmanship, and stories that define our city’s past.

In 2025, we’re featuring homes in Irving Park, one of Greensboro’s most elegant early 20th-century neighborhoods known for its tree-lined streets, gracious residences, and garden landscapes. Visitors will enjoy a self-guided experience through a curated selection of private homes and gardens that reflect a variety of architectural styles and periods.

This two-day event invites the community to explore the spaces that shape our shared heritage—while also supporting Preservation Greensboro’s mission to protect and promote the city’s historic places. Proceeds from the tour fund advocacy, education, and technical support for preservation efforts across Greensboro.

Whether you’re passionate about old houses, love interior design, or are simply curious about your city’s history, the Tour of Historic Homes & Gardens is an inspiring and enriching experience.
